You'll need a adapter if you want to use your stock intercooler pipe. They sell it at dejontool.com for $28.

Re: greddy type s

That sob i went down to the performance shop they said that i would have to buy the intercooler piping for it to fit will i need to use the gasket if i got the piping. Do you know if the type s will fit the hahn pipes? I would buy the hole thing but you know that is a little more money than im planning to spend plus I'm planning to get a jdm motor with trany and all here pretty soon hopefully than i will worry about stuff like intercooler pipes

Re: greddy type s

I agree with Jake, the stock pipe is just too restrictive. Its a great improvement, after I got mine I could feel the car spool a lot quicker.

Yes you will need to use the gasket to seal the bov to the pipe. And the bov will fit on the hahn pipes. And if your short on money or dont want to spend much, just get a dejontool pipe.

Why are you getting a JDM motor? Whats wrong with the motor you have now? If nothing is wrong with it, dont touch it! Thats how people usually fuck things up. And dont go with JDM if you are replacing your motor!

Re: greddy type s

nothing is wrong with it at the moment but i don't want something to go wrong with and then have to replace itl. What is wrong with the jdm motors? it is basicly the same as a 6-bolt

Re: greddy type s

I agree with Jake, dont get a jdm motor cause you'll never know if they beat the sh*t outa it or not. Best bet is to just buy a Engine rebuild kit and have a mechanic do the rest of your work. This way u will know that your engine will last longer. By the way if u do, do the engine rebuild replace the turbo, water pump, etc.

Re: greddy type s

yeah it thats true. I know that i will have to do a 6-bolt conversion at some point in time i don't think that the this motor will handle it.

If you want to save some money...just drill 2 new holes into your stock BOV flange where it lines up correctly and add some RTV high-temp sealer and bolt it on. No need to buy a new UICPipe, I did it with mine and sounds/works great...no leaks at all.

forcedinduction: have you done a boost leak test? it might be better then the stock one but it probably leaks

Re: greddy type s

Thats a very half ass ghetto way and looks like shit. Plus the stock bov flange is plastic! If you are modding your car at all why not just upgrade? If I had an RTV attached BOV I dont think I would ever open my hood for anyone.
