Lock-Down

Happy New Year, everyone.

My problem:
The driver's side door will not unlock with the key. It will lock and unlock with the remote, however.

Doesn't make any sense to me. Should be the other way around.

Are you saying you can rotate the key in the door tumbler?
If so, I would guess that the linkage from the tumbler down to the door latch has come loose, not a big deal to refasten once the door panel is removed.
The remote-door-opener-solenoid uses a separate linkage to the latch.

yes, the key can be rotated, but the door will not unlock, or lock for that matter.
