how do i decompress my fuel pressure?

i bought a fuel filter and was told that i should decompress my fuel pressure first. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do this and what else i will have to do in the prosess of changing the filter. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: Fuel Filter location?

It is located right in front of the gas tank under the car. Its looks like a small tin can connected to your steel gas lines. Be sure you decompress your fuel pressure before you reove it.
