Re: looking to buy a 4runner

Stay away from 3.0L and 4.0L V6's if you like a zippy ride with decent MPG's
Your dads was a 3.4L V6 which, well yeah it rocked lol

Re: looking to buy a 4runner

Get a '99 to '02 with 3.4L V6. Not extremely powerful, but one of the most reliable vehicles you can buy. If you need power, you can always add a supercharger from TRD. Bolts right on. You can even modify it further without sacrificing reliability. A serious truck engine.

You were going to drop 18 grand into a 96 Accord? I'm glad you got to drive something else.

Re: looking to buy a 4runner

yeah, 3.4L 4runner is probably best.. unless you can find a very new one w/ the 4.7 L V8, though that would be an auto tranny (as far as i know >.> )

i plan to get a late 80s/early 90s runner w/ the 4cyl. 22RE engine, but thats cuz im poor and need somethin to have fun w/ =p

but yeah, go for the 3.4L, and if you can get one, the 4.7L

Manual transmissions are relatively hard to find.
