Exhaust Recommendations

Hi everyone...I've been getting a strange noise coming from the underside of my car recently and the mechanic says I need a new exhaust, so I need exhaust recommendations! I'm going to wait until the harsh winter here in Massachusetts is over, then replace it. If it helps I have a '97 Maxima SE and so far the only engine mod is a frankencar intake. Most of my other mods are my lighting, which doesn't matter right now. I'm looking for a nice, mellow deep tone. Nothing ricey sounding at all, I'm going for almost more of the American muscle car type sound, just not obnoxiously loud. I was thinking a Stillen (I need a full catback system). I've heard the Greddy is too loud, and Cattman is way too expensive. I was also thinking I could go custom and use a 5th gen muffler, but I'm not sure if it would provide the tone I'm looking for. If it helps I also plan on getting a budget y-pipe at some point. Any recommendations are welcome, thanks!

Yeah I'm still interested in the Stillen. I heard a soundclip recently but without an intake. If you could send me the clip with the intake that'd be great and I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey Ceasar,

Does the exhaust note sound anything like this?

I'm looking to forego the headers and get the catback only if I decide on the Cattman. Not sure if it's too loud for me yet.
