Caught Street Racing.

Ok guys i was a passenger on my friends car which is an 90 civic hb, and my other friend in a workvan GMC safari i think anyway , they were fooling around and they decided to race of the red the van is loosing and then it picks up and the civic lost, but thats not the point. there was a cop that saw that from a side road and pursuited us, the cop pulled us both over, my friend had no insurance and a G1 licence (canada) anyway he has a courtdate my question is can they take away or suspend his licence for driving with no insurance and street racing and if so for how many years. thnx

Re: Caught Street Racing.

I don't think they will suspend your license for racing...I go to the street races around here every Saturday night and people are pulled over for racing all the time...none of them have their license suspended, but the ticket is fat.

They can suspend your license for driving without insurance, that's a big no-no.

Re: Caught Street Racing.

Hopefully.

I think they do definatley suspend liscences for street racing, at least here in Ontario and driving without insurance from what I understand is a major ass kicking in Canada.

STUPID! Racing a van? Would it even be fucking worth it?

Re: Caught Street Racing.

Here in florida, you can EASILY get your license suspended for a long time on the first offense for street racing. There's more also, I just can't think of exactly what else.

Re: Caught Street Racing.

In texas the biggest fine for street racing is a $250 ticket. But he should have his testicals removed for driving without insurance.

Re: Caught Street Racing.

street racing is too risky, especially at stop lights if someone decides to run the red light the ppl racing will be the first in the intersection to hit him lol

no insurance = bad. He'll get in some major trouble for that one. The cop was probably thinking, why the hell is the van racing? I figured he'd pull the other car over, n not the van. Must've been a stock civic..lol

310 dollar fine for no insurance prolly, liscence will be taken for 2 years most likely. its not smart to drive with ur BEGINNERS and race someone else. since u said u were in the passenger seat, do u have ur G class liscence for more then 4 years? if not then he's gonna be fucked. did the cop say he stopped him for racing? or speeding? either way he can kiss his liscence good bye

2 of my friends were racing and one of them lost control when he went over a little hill and drove into a cornfield (in his integra) and my other friend was driving the other guys firebird. But they went and got the guy in the tegs parents to help pull the car out and a cop stopped and wrote him a bunch of tickets and my friend was stupid enough to tell the cop he and my other friend were racing. Yes they both got their liscences taken for 6 months. Street racing is stupid, but i take the risks anyways, so i cant bullshit you about it.

not all states require insurance. it's a big no no to be without it in louisiana, that's all i know. it's a good idea to have anyway. dispite how good you drive, there's always the one dumb guy who doesn't drive well...

well, they CAN suspend a license, but i'll bet they just slap him with a huge fine.

if you were just a passenger, i doubt you'll get a penalty. if there were any charges, maybe you can get them dropped. a classmate of mine was in the car when her boyfriend at the time was pulled over for something and they found drugs in his car. she was charged with possession since it was her car, but she wasn't driving and had no idea, so they dropped the charges. still shows up on her record to this day and it was over 10 years ago, but no one really counts it. it just adds to the paperwork she has to go through to get anything done these days.

Re: Caught Street Racing.

well me bing the insurace agent that i am in florida. thay can't suspended a lic if he don't got one, but they can make it so he can't get one for a long time. i'v seen it all and most of the time they will just fine him and send him on his way. i'v seen alot of people get busted for street racing and they just get a slap on the had and there ins goes up because of the ticket. that sucks, but you friend should not have lost!!!
