How to remove dash to access speakers?
I have a '98 Grand Caravan. One of the front dash speakers has an intermittant connection. It looks like I have to lift the top dash cover to access the speakers. Is this correct and how is dash removed?
Thanks for your help, Brian |

It clips/snaps in place. You have to pry off the pillar trim (hard plastic between the windshield and door). Then pry along the edge of the "dash cover" to release the clips and disconnect the "information center." There may be some velcro like material at the back of the dash cover (next to the windshield). That whole piece will lift up. I put silicone grease on all my clips during re-assembly. A body trim tool is a big help. Just pull firmly but not crazy and you will be alright. I bought speakers from Crutchfield and they are send real good installation instructions.
Good luck |
