Bypassing the ECM.. anyone try this?
My ECM is fried, dealer looked at it, really expensive to fix. I have heard of bypassing it, by splising the black wire on the coil pack, and attaching it to the red wire on the injector itself. Here is a link on how to do it. http://www.ecmking.com/_disc1/00000034.htm
If anyone has tried it or heard of it, let me know if it works! |

I wouldn't try it, computers don't like having extra stuff plugged into them.

Supposedly this works, and I can see how the theory is sound, however you're going to be overloading the coil controller, since it now has to run the coil AND the injector. A relay would be far too slow to keep up with the AC signal. I wouldn't do it with anything I wasn't planning on just using around the farm to haul junk.
