Post MR-2 vs MR-S (handling)

My current project car has lost is fun factor and I am looking for something new to tune, I have a 93' MR-2 turbo which is going to get a 3.0 liter engine swaped into it if I decide to keep working on it. Im looking for a car that has unserpassed handling (and that is rwd) every time I say that people talk about me MR-2 and MR-S, I want to know which one is worth tunning out in the long run and which one of the two handles better when beign pushed hard (Im probably gonna get into road racing or auto X). please help and thnx ahead of time for any info

the mr-s will probably out handle the mr2 turbo from what i ve seen. if you do get the mr2 turbo, try to get the 93-95 yr, the suspension was revised on those years.

I think MR-S will be better...because they are being tune in torgue car in Japan and u do need quite and amazing handling to race in torgue...also is a new car so their technology would be newer

the main reason why the mrs handles better is becasue of its lightness. the mr2 turbo are kinda porkish. but i doubt the suspension geometry is any different from the mr2

I got a 93' turbo, it had a blown engine when I bought it so Im trying to decide wheter to get a new engine and build it up or to get a new MR-S and try to get some power out of that (ppl tell me aftermarket support is horrible)

the aftermarket for the mr-s is pretty bad. they do make supercharger and turbo kits for it still though.

personally, id go with the mr-s, and try to get some power out of it. the mr2 turbo should have better aftermarket support, since its been out longer. im not sure how bad aftermarket support is on the mr-s, but im sure you can still get almost anything for it, just not as many options as the turbo. you could look for things you would want to do to your mr-s, and see if they have parts for it.

for the most part I found the parts I want on the MR-S is just that half of them are over sea....which I dont mind paying to get the parts here. I really just wanted to see what ppls opinion would be on the two cars.
Their both great machines
