transmission slow to shift

I have a 94 Eagle Vision TSI that I has had the tranny rebuilt at a Dodge dealership a fews years back... I haven't driven the car in a while and now the shifting is very slow to engage. you have to run the revs up to get the tranny to shift... downshifting is all at once ... it goes from one gear to the next without any warning or slowing... once you back off the gas it down shifts.... any clues or suggestions.... could it be the speed sensors?

Re: transmission slow to shift

go back to a Chrysler dealer and get the transmission control module to be reprogrammed. The shift schedules could be off due to the fact that it hasn't been used in some time.
