'95 4x4 problem

Hi guys i;m new to this forum.
I just purchased a '95 jimmy SLT,when pushing the 4 low button it flashes for about 30 seconds and goes to 4 high.I push the 4 high button and you can here the solinoid activate under the truck but 4x4 doesn't work.Anyone had this issue?Trying to sell this truck but should have 4x4 working. Thanks for any input.

Re: '95 4x4 problem

You should check out MSN Auto's Reliability Ratings on this matter. I had the same problem, it was the transfer case motor/encoder in my case. Input your year and make and you should be able to find the necessary info.
