Amp install Kit?
Does it really make a difference what gauge amp install kit you use. I am trying to save a little bit of money and found a 10 gauge kit for $25. But would I be better off going with a 8 gauge kit for $38.

Re: Amp install Kit?
Yes it greatly matters. what amp is it going to how much current draw? And how far will the power wire run? Check out www.weldingsupplies.com It's not pretty but works good. If you need good looking wire then go get some off ebay.

Re: Amp install Kit?
it is for an 820 watt max Power Acoustik amp that I plan to bridge to one channel for a max of 460RMS to run my Adire Audio Shiva Sub. There is a good possiblity that the wire may be seen a little.

I always go with pretty big wiring and use off brand stuff, it's a LOT cheaper. The last bunch was 4 Ga wire by amp king or whatever, got it from MCM prety cheap.

Re: Amp install Kit?
Now if I already have one amp installed in the car with power running from the battery do I need a complete amp install kit or do I only need some RCA cables and speaker wire for my sub.

depends on whether that wire can handle the current for both amps
