High Speed Heater Blower Not Working
The high speed heater blower setting on my 2002 Envoy stopped working. Is this a simple fix, or will this require a trip to the dealer? Speeds 1-4 work fine speed 5 does not. Thanks!

Ended up taking it to the dealer. Bad blower resistor, $220.00 fix. Replaced the same resistor on my 1998 Malibu.

Re: High Speed Heater Blower Not Working
I have the same problem with my 2003 envoy xl. All the speeds work properly except for high. I was told that this is the resistor. Can someone clarifiy this as I will fix it myself
(core included) I am hoping that the dealership didn't soak you for this part or labor. Can someone shed some light on this.

Re: High Speed Heater Blower Not Working
Yes, it is the resistor. It is usually mounted on the blower motor housing and actually is set inside the housing, I guess to keep it cool from overheating?? When I replaced the one on my Malibu, it was simply held on by two screws. I had to remove some of the paneling under the glove box too. As stated earlier in my post, the Dealer charged me around $225. Good luck!

Re: High Speed Heater Blower Not Working
Gentlemen this is a 2 year old thread please look at that before posting, BTW the resistor is not inside the case it is on the outside housing. Thanks, this thread is closed.
