the tsi is gone...

It was sad to see it go, but I couldn't afford the insurance anymore. It was sold to a sophmore in high school who doesn't even have his liscense yet or know how to drive a manual. I guess I can't complain, they did buy the car, I just know I'm gonna miss it. So it's on to find a new car, with lower insurance premiums....sigh. Any ideas?

Or you could take the money and go old school with a real sleeper. 1970 VW bug, then put the twin turbo 3000cc engine in it for 5k. Have one hell of a sleeper and one very fast car.

That is quite the replacement for a TSi dont you think?

That sucks that you had to give up your ride.....how about picking up a 240Z?? I mean shit, look at Redneck's ride now, its no slouch, and insurance won't rape you for it.

My condolences, sorry for your loss...anything with four doors is gonna drop the insurance premium.

I appreciate the condolences, I have been keeping an eye out for a new car, but in order to get a sizable drop in my premium, I have to go with a domestic. My insurance agent told me it would be $302 a month to insure a base model integra...that's $20 more a month than my talon. I may be going at this the wrong way, perhaps I'm gonna have to go shopping for a new insurance company. At any rate, thanks everybody, keep the ideas coming.

Re: the tsi is gone...

Buy a 2nd generation NA RX-7 and swap in a 3rd gen turbo 13B. Insurance is suprisingly low on the 2nd generation 7's.
