Really stumped, need advice.

OK ive been reading alot, and searching alot and i still cant decide what to do. Theres a green 96 gsx for sale and theres a 97 gst spyder for sale. And i cant make up my mind. I read threads about both of them on wich is better and advantages. The thing is that i heard the spyder gst is as heavy as the gsx, and will accelerate about the same from a roll, like on the freeway. So is it even worth getting the spyder? should i just get the gsx? i want more of a freeway sleeper, rather than drag. Feedback please.

Damn this is going to be hard to decide. I think it all depends on how your going to use your car. If you plan on having a lot of power and race from a stop, I would go with the GSX. But if you want moderate but fast car and don't plan on racing it all the time I would go with the Spyder (what color is the spyder?). And plus you live in Cali where the weather is great!!! So the Spyder would be good too.

Good luck on deciding!!!

Re: Really stumped, need advice.

yea i was thinking of the whole weather thing also. The weather is nice here. But i want a fast car. But its mostly going to be from rolls. Not really from a stop. So I dont know if i should get the spyder or the gsx, plus i dont like the color green, and having to convert it to 97-99. The gst is white which is better than green. So im really stuck. I dont want to regret on buying the spyder, and sayin if my friend with the gst whooping my ass cuz his car is lighter and has the same money put in.

man, i say spyder. put the top down, thats where its at man. if i had the weather up here to do it, i would. It will still be a quick car, and it will get the women more than something else. It would be rad.

Re: Really stumped, need advice.

personally i'd get the GSX, i don't like the way the sypders look. plus its always cold up here in PA. but the 97 body style is much better looking that the 96..

i'd go for AWD, i've heard once you get it you won't want anything else. Also consider the price of the cars, milage, interior/exterior condition. do a car fax on the cars, have them check by a machanic. someone might say one is not in good shape and the other is. that would make your mind up for you.

96 was an odd year for the gsx, looks wise as well as mechanically. thats what i have. i wish it was a little better looking, but nothing beats lanching on hondas.

Re: Really stumped, need advice.

GSX all the way man. AWD has saved my life more than once, and I am entirely serious when I say that.

Are these the exact same price? What about specifics like mileage, etc.?

Re: Really stumped, need advice.

I ended up buying the spyder gst. $7100. Very nice kept with like 97,000 miles on it. the gsx had 150,000 whch is too much for me. Im picking that up tomorrow, because they still need to smog it. Im just happy ive moved on from my 420a. even though i just got a nice paint job on it. i got $7200 for my gs. which is really good.

Watch out vince and shpyder im gonna catch up to you guys.

i had 91,000 miles on it, but i had a new paint job, indash tv/dvd player, sub and amp, and upgraded gst wing. so more people offered more money. here in cali, things go for a higher price. did you sell yours yet? over here if you sold it for $5000, it would go quick.

Re: Really stumped, need advice.

yea, i can but a turbo wing and plan to do it. I did it to my gs so mite as well do it on the spyder. Shpyder has a turbo wing on his spyder it looks really nice. Thats were i got the idea, and maybe even get that rollbar he got, cuz it looks bad ass on the spyder.
