overheating problem

i have a 94 camaro v6 i have changed the water pump all hoses t-stat and flushed the system 3 times but to no help it pressures up and over heats it will do it at idle and the raid cap and raid stay cold fan kicks on but nothing happens its like its not flowing water heater even stays cold but the car will go to 260 deg cant figure this out also it vibrates alot if idleing in gear but stops when in netural and has a surge when driving down the road service engine light goes on and off brought it to autozone and they could not check the computer they used the gm key but no codes or anything happened could someone please help me thank you

wow, shit sounds like it's on a major fritz, my only advice would be to take it to a GM Mechanic

i dont know but the only thing that has ever made my service engine light flash on and off is the tps which wouldnt cause the overheating i wouldnt think, and u said uve had your cap tested and it is holding pressure?? i dont even know what the problem would be then is the belt on the water pump good

do u know if it is actually overheating or is the guage lying to ya? also try the coolant temp sensor,take it somewhere else for the codes cause the OBDII didn't come out on cars til 95 and that year still doesn't read sometimes, it would be hard for autozone to read the codes on a 94(used to work there)if the engine light is coming on it has to be throwing some code take it somewhere else
