Anyone Else Miss Washing Your Car, Cold Weather..

I'm missing this already, i like to wash my car by hand, wheels, everything. I had to go to a $4.75 drive thru wash the other day, and yeah it felt so good to sit in my car while it was going through the wash, but it just aint the same as doing it yourself.

I get a satisfaction when i do everything myself, winter sucks. Here on LI it's 20 degrees and snowing.


Spring can't come fast enough.. It's to damn cold out to do anything.

I only washed my car once in the past 5 months that I've had her. I just don't care that much about this one.

Those drive thru car washes suck. I'll tell ya what, I'm not missing LI's wind chill factor. Its good to be on a caribbean island right now. Go Navy!

I still wash my car once a week, wheels and all. I just fill the bucket with hot water or really warm water and then I wear those industrial rubber gloves you use when you use like paint stripper or something. And of course I wear a sweatshirt or something too. So I don't freeze my hands or anything and my car stays clean year round. I HATE a dirty car. And because my car is black I won't take it through a car wash cause I don't like scratches on my car either, I hate swirl marks. So twice a year I also strip the wax and rewax it so theres 0 surface marks on my car.

Wednesday, December 22nd. Me and my mate came over to wash our cars (pic included), it was a nice sunny day. I said to him when we were finish "ya know, it's gunna rain tomorrow". It didn't stop for 2 days.

Lol Davo, that happened to me countless times this past summer.

How bout this one, yesterday morning, i check the weather forecast on TWC (the weather channel) and it displayed sunny/light clouds for the next 6 days. PS, after seeing that, i gave my wheels a good cleaning, then took my car to the wash..

Today it's snowing...SNOWING. Gonna be like 4 inches, i can only imagine all that road salt and crap being all over my wheels, armor alled tires etc :-(

PS.. atleast shes got 3 coats of nufinish on her i put on within 3 weeks (last month)..

Hey man I'm on Long Island too. I just drove home in the snow and I made it just fine! Although going up a steep hill in the slush I got stuck at a red light and a truck went by throwing shit all over my window. RX-7 + stick shift + steep hill + slush = But I got it! The most trouble I had was my driveway. Totally crabbed to the side and actually left room for my mom to leave.

And I keep my car "spotless" ec437. I cleaned my car too that day because I went out with a girl that I just met a few weeks ago that day also. So I clean my car pretty much once a week still I do it on the weekends when I have the time to do it and no school work needs to be done...
