convertable stiffening
hey fellas, if i put a 6/8 pt roll cage in my 95 gt convert. will it be as stiff or stiffer than a coupe? im hoping itll be much stiffer, thanks.

much stiffer than an unstiffened coupe. however if you did the same to a coupe he'd outshine you a ton. make sure you add aftermarket sway bars, weld-on full-length subframe connectors, and aftermarket strut and shock tower braces. then it'll be about as good as it'll get.

A mod that costs considerable money but If I had a vert I would seriously consider would be Griggs racing thru the floor sub-frame connectors. The major cost is in the fact that for these subframes you need to pull the interior,seats, carpet, deading material, cut the floors cause the connectors go inside of the subframes but the chassis stiffing they create even over standard sub-frames is worth it.
This mod increases chassis stiffness by 200% and would keep the sweet look of your vert with the top down which is why I would consider them in that situation.
