Question RS*R vs Sprotline

first off will both of these springs work well with kyb agx struts? secondly, which of these will offer the stiffer/ better handling ride? there is only like a $20 difference inbetween these and im ordering the shocks next wend or thurs, so i'm looking for the right springs. thanks.

BTW: im talking about the RS*R Race Springs, and the Eibach Sportline Springs

Well I have never had Sportlines on my 240sx, but I had them on my Civic and they sucked ass. I now have the RS*R race springs on my Civic, and they are ten million times better. They are stiffer, much stiffer. I would go with the RS*R, they are also very popular in Japan, as far as springs go, and of course Japanese parts for a Japanese car.

Do the Eibachs give you a better ride if they aren't so stiff?

Re: RS*R vs Sprotline

yes, stiffer springs = rougher ride. Iv'e heard alot of bad things about agx's, about how the blow out after a year or so, is this true? are tokico struts more durable than agx's?

I have only heard good things about the AGX's. The Tokico don't get hard enough. And remember the AGX's do have a warantee, so if anything goes bad, you get new one's. The sportlines did affect the ride quality of my Civic a little, but not much. But they didn't do almost anything for handling and body roll. If you want a car that handles well, it's probably not going to have the best ride. I don't know about you, but I only fix up cars I don't drive everyday. You should separate your daily driver from your fun car. You also get a big break on insurance when you have two cars insured.

the older agx's will blow out. kyb did fix the newer one's just check the box to see when they where made are better yet email kyb. my girl has the rsr race springs and cusco shocks and struts on here s13. The ride is stiff but livable. i would stay away from the Eibach's if you are going to drift they have a Progressive Spring Design thats no good for drifting are autox.

Re: RS*R vs Sprotline

i had sportlines. they were alright but i had stock shocks. dont flame, it was settup before i bought the car. yes, it was stiff, yes it handled alright. but it could have been so much better. one of the springs broke or was cut, making it knock. i was not happy with it. but with the right settup, i think it could work. this one shop downtown sells only the best tires and suspension kits, and they sell eibach sportlines.
