Clutch Installation

How much does it cost to install a clutch. I'd like to get a stage 1 clutch. Nothing too harsh but something with a little more clamp. But I don't have the tools nor mechanical know how to do it. My neighbor does alot of my major work but he is the manager of a classic car club and so he's not that great with FWD imports so I don't want to ask him to do it. I would probably go to my dads mechanic and I was just wondering about how much to get it installed and which stage 1 is the best?

Oh it would be on a 4th gen with an h23.

Re: Clutch Installation

most shops will charge around $420. its expensive...

my g/f's mom's ex-brother-in-law felt sorry for me when my pressure plate gave out and found out i planned to put the car up on stands and do it at my house, so he did it for free at his tire shop. i gave him $100 because its all i had left and it was a very long job, it took all day. its not easy. hopefully you know someone that knows someone who can hook you up. i only felt the difference the first day i had it, and thats because it was fucked up before i changed it. i changed both the clutch and flywheel, and honestly, it doesn't feel any faster on the butt dyno. oh well.

did i mention the exedy full face organic and xact flywheel combo put me back a pretty penny?? $525 shipped and tax from clutchcityonline.com
