1990 grand am wont turn over
made a bad mistake when changing spark plug wires. unhooked one old wire at the sparkplug end while the distributor end was still connected. thought i disconnected both ends of this wire. when i started the car the wire on the spark plug end was touching the aire cleaner which is metal. a line of blue electricity was coming from the wire to the air cleaner cover. at the distibutor end i saw the same line of blue electricty. i shut off the car. attached the wires correctly. restarted the car. it idled fine. shut it off. 5 minutes later i went to start the car and it wont even turn over. all electrical components work as far as headlights, radio, interior lights, blinkers, hazards.wondering if you would know what's wrong? i'm clueless at this point. thankyou and thanks for your time. joe.

Re: 1990 grand am wont turn over
I suspect that your turning over problem is unrelated to the spark issue. I would attempt a jump start. The radio and lights use a lot less power than the starter. The colder temps kill alot of batteries. A couple of starts and then sutting down the engine can pull down a battery pretty fast. Good Luck.
