Rattle
I have a 2004 CR-V with about 11,000 miles on it. Within the last two months or so, the CR-V has developed a rattle that seems to be coming from somewhere under the front passenger side wheel well. The rattle sounds like a rock inside of a coffee can. I"ve poked, prodded, etc. and can't find the source. I hear it when I go over a bump that shakes the car side to side just a bit. The rattle seems to decrease after the car heats up, but that could be a function of the road noise drowning it out.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this, or if anyone else has any ideas where to look. Thanks |

Re: Rattle
They have a Known problem with the front strut nuts being improperly torqued. A quick look under the nood can determine this. Look at the center 17mm strut nut on the top of the strut and bounce the front end. If its loose enough you will see it move and if you put your finger on it you can probably feel it too. Hope this helps
