I know you guys don't like it when people just ask questions with out researching them first, but I have tried, and thus have not been able to find an answer.
my question is, has anyone done an automatic to manual swap in a 92-95 Si Coupe before? what was the cost involved, and the amount of time required. thanks alot , any information is appreciated. |

I don't know how much it would cost, but I would bet that it would be cheaper, if not the same cost, to buy a parts car with an intact drivetrain. Check out the parts you need:
Transmission (doi!) Shifter lever & mounting bracket Shifter cables/connections and bushings Clutch pedal and bracket Master cylinder Driveshafts (maybe?) and optional parts: Upgraded clutch (pressure plate, etc) Transmission rebuild kit Aftermarket bushings Bling-bling clutch pedal I'm sure I'm missing a dozen other things, and this doesn't even touch on tools you'll need. From what-all I can tell, an auto-to-manual swap is harder even then an engine swap, in some respects. Probably the only thing worse then an auto-to-manual swap, is an auto-to-manual swap on a vehicle that never had a manual option. stupid van, anyway.
