'66 stang - needs boost (and info)

i think i bought a '66 mustang yesterday , and because im australian living in america for a while i know nothing of these cars. all i know is that its the 6cyl - a 250 i think (can someone tell me if thats right?) - and that i want boost.
is there any cheap (under 1K maybe more) yet efficient and reliable supercharger kits that will bolt straight on? if so who are they so i can look into it. if anyone has turbo'd one of these babys could they let me know too because that would really be something different back home.
if anyone could tell me anything about this model, its engine, reliablity, anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
regards,
ryan...

with 1,800 you can get a used vorteck s-trim supercharger. its a great way to go but you will have to tap your oil pan for the supercharger oil feed lines. im sure you can get a cheaper powerdyne blower, or whipple, with a used blower you can build a kit for under 2 grand but wiht only 1 grand i suggers amotor swap to a 5.0 302 v8. or if you want the cheapest way to add a lot of power put a 500$ nitrous kit on it.

Those Straight 6's Seem To Run And Run But No Power.i Dont Think You Will Get Any Real Power From This Engine.to Go To A V 8 You Will Have To Change The Suspenion To Hold The V8s Weight.i Had A Nice 65 But It Had The Striaght 6 And It Sucked!the Straight 6 Had A 4 Lug Suspenion And The V 8 Had 5 Lug Suspenion

Engine?

I thought that 66 stangs came with either a 170 or a 200 for the straight six. unless the engine is from a later model.
