security light,car won't start

The service and security lights came on when my husband
was driving my car on Friday. The car drove fine that night
and Saturday morning. Now it will not start. The battery is
new and the alternator was checked when the battery was
replaced about a week ago. Any ideas? Thanks.

security light

mine did the same thing and when i took it to the shop they told me that some battery acid had dripped down to the ignition wires and made the car think it was being stolen so it wont start. it is a security device benig activated. so u might wanna check into that.

Re: security light,car won't start

When you turn the Ignition switch on, does the security light flash ?, Does the engine crank OK but will not start ? If it does these things it your ignition switch cylinder passlock. Turn your igmition key to the on position for about 10 to 15 mins or till flashing secuity light goes out. then start. If starts you need to replace keys and cylinder have to have this done at dealer.
