Advice needed for desired cat back exhaust

I am looking to purchase a catback exhaust system for my '02 Acura RSX Type-S. I can't seem to find a web site out there that compares the different exhaust systems available... Any help? I found a Borla Exhaust System (Part #140002) for a really good price new on ebay and wanted some advice before I bought it.

Appreciate the advice.. I checked out that website but couldn't find too much useful info about comparing different exhaust systems. I lost the bid on that borla system anyways. So now I'm just trying to research and find the best one to buy. I'm looking for a deep/stronger/louder sound... Anyone have advice on a brand?

Get a header or a Cold Air Intake. A Cat-back pipe won't make as much power as either.

Yeah, a cold air and Hondata will give great gains. Exhaust only yeilds a few hp, exhausts are more for sounds and looks.

Although if getting an exhaust I like the HKS Hi-Power and Fujitsubo Powergetter in terms of sound.

Appreciate the info.. I purchased a AEM Cold Air Intake today. Advice on getting it installed? A couple of my friends with integra's say it's very easy..

I've heard a lot of good things about the Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust. Any words? Know where I can get the best price on it? The best price I have found so for is $515.

If you didn't get it yet, get the AEM bypass valve.
That way, you can drive your car when it rains.

From what i've heard CAI's aren't the msot fun to install as you have to do some drilling and relocation of the windshield washer fluid bottle, but it shouldn't be that bad.

Bypass valve's depend more on the driver's mentality. If you don't think you're gonna submerge the filter in water, you'll be OK. Also, you can just press the clutch when going over a medium to large puddle. A handful of people hydrolock their RSX's, but if its of a great concern, then I guess you shoudl get one. If I lived in Washington state or Vancouver or areas that hve a lot of floods i'd get it, but otherwise I probably wouldn't.

What about people like me who drive around in slush, snow, sand and salt for two days before they realize their filter element fell of and is wedged down in the bottom of the bay?

My friend's Integra (which has a lower mounted filter) looked like it was a freaking Yeti after a snowstorm, snow and slush everywhere on the front bumper, and it was OK. The filter has to be submerged in water to hydrolock, I don't think some slush would cause a problem at all.
