Your opinions please
Hi,
This past summer I installed a 180F Fail Safe thermostat in my 89 Si. Things were fine for a few months then the car started taking forever to warm up. So I replaced it under warrenty with another 180f fail safe unit. I suspect the new unit may be going bad in the same way as the first. It's possible I have another defective unit, but are there any other factors that affect the rate our cars warm up? My car has the original radiator cap, a older "universal" Civic radiator (came with the car and has auto tranny fluid cooler fittings), new hoses, and was recently flushedf/filled with new anti-freeze. Any ideas or information on the quality of these thermostats? Thanks much, John |

Thanks for your replies.
I was leaning that way when the current unit craps out (again), it seems to be ok now but who knows about tomorrow.... |
