Question power window help

Okay, both rear windows are having trouble. The left rear window wobbles as it goes up and needs help to go all the way up. I suspect one side jumped out of track if this is a scissor type assembly. The right rear stops short without any difficulty during travel, it just stops about 2" short. There's no visible obstruction. Oh yeah, its a 1996 caprice classic with power windows.

Also on a side not, is there seperate sending untis for the iol press indicator light and the oil press guage?

Thanks,

Bob

Thanks for the reply carot

It is actually my mother's car. I'll take it apart when I get a chance, she's not using the windows now. Where did you get the nylon, what kind did you use?

thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob-The white nylon used is the stuff that is used for bushings in motors or machines/prob avail at local M/C shop/This is not a job to tackle unless you know how to make parts./other than wrenches you need a metal band saw a drill press/die grinder etc/This took me about three hrs to make the nylon slides & then about two hrs per door to replace you have to remove all the switches carefully because they will be a little brittle by now/Also you have to wedge the windows so as not to slide down/there are rivets that have to be drilled out of the slide track at the bottom of the window one end of which you will have to open up as it is crimped in.Then bolt back on with #10x24 bolts & nuts On the end of the cantilever arms there is a ball end that snaps into the plastic pieces that are to be replaced. I am a retired millwright so this kind of job i am used to
If you lived close enough i could help but i imagine you are in USA somewhere & i am in Canada/ hope this helps. Scouse
