i am looking into buying a dodge dakota and i want to know which year and model is the fastest, which year and model puts out the most horsepower????

are you sure the shelbys are the fastest dakota's, i just looked up the specs on them and they only put out 175 hp, and thats not as much as the newer dakotas, i mean the shelbys might be lighter but i dunno. i herd from someone that one year dakota is faster then a v8 mustang, is this true?

Lots of things are faster than those silly Mustangs. I don't have any numbers on me at the moment so I'll just leave it at that...

I'd think that if you had a 1993 Dakota regular cab shortbox, with the new Magnum 318 in it, it would be pretty quick. Those 318's were rated at 230 horse, just like the ones from the late sixties and early seventies...
