Would it be wise to...
I decided to actually pick up a AEM SRI. I was wondering if installing it and resetting the ECU during cold temperatures (30-40 degree weather, and yes, I know that is proabably will be considered warm by some of you) would be a wise move or not. My concern is that the new settings will not help or be consistent since they will be based on temperatures that are not the norm. I could just be demonstrating my total lack of knowledge so please tell me if this is a concern or not.

Ludeguy to the rescue again. Thanks for your help. I had another concern with the SRI. I seem to get water near the air filter (possibly coming from the hood??). I found this out because I leave my oil and tranny rag next to my battery and air filter and it always gets wet when it rains. My concern is not hydrolock but with winter coming and the filter getting water on it and freezing. That would kinda negate any gains I might get from adding the SRI. Maybe I will just have to make some sort of partition...

Re: Would it be wise to...
I doubt it'll freeze onto your intake. If you're concerned, let your car warm up for a little while. Even if it did freeze onto the intake somehow, that would take care of the problem.

Thanks JDM. I probably should let my car warm up longer anyway.
