aurora vs. riviera

Been looking at the riveras lately, been seeing some nice ones, the lines remind me of my aurora but the riviera lines seem to be a little more drastic making the car look really nice. HOWEVER the riv. is a V-6 and im sure i dont have to tell you how I love the V-8 beast under my hood. Anyway my question is this... has anyone owned one of these? (95-99) how are the supercharged V-6's in comparison to our V-8's are they reliable and am I sick for even considering buying one of these over my aurora. Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!

the riveras are also excellent cars..(95-99) don't let the v-6 engine fool you..the 3800 super charged motors really move and it's not un-common to see them with over 200,000 miles..other then having the 2-door and v-6 motor their VERY similar to the aurora..i don't think you can go wrong with either.

Re: aurora vs. riviera

Same car in several respects, personally I don't like the Rivs but love the Auroras, on the other hand you'll likely save hassle and money with the Riv given it's tried and true V6 which is almost as easy to work on as a small block Chevy (exc. the whine box). Then again, pipe an Aurora and it doesn't matter how fast you go-it's still cool.

I had a 92 Bonneville SSEi with the 3800 superchagred engine. It was fast. When I bought my 95 Aurora, I drove a 96 Riviera with the 3800 supercharged engine. It was as fast as the Bonneville. When I drove the Auroa I never thought about the Riviera again. The Aurora is faster, sounds better and is built for the driver. It is the coolest car I've ever owned. I think it would give a 5.0 liter Mustang a run for the money.
