Question 90' Eagle TSI, 99' "dodge" Avenger (mitsu), the Avenger is purdy, but has no guts

here is my question. give it to me straight, is the turbo in the TSI at all compatible with the 2.0L mitsubishi in the Avenger? I am told that the Avenger is essentially a flashy, heavy, Eclipse. does anyone have any kind of info on this.. thanks

the turbos dont just zip tie to your intake filter... it's not bolt on.

you'll need basically everything that comes in the hahn kit, except the turbo.

a turbo is a turbo generally (compatibility-wise on cars that didn't come with any turbo)

Re: 90' Eagle TSI, 99' "dodge" Avenger (mitsu), the Avenger is purdy, but has no guts

Thanks for the replies. I suppose I will have to throw out the ol'e zip ties. Where do I find the hahn kit for this car? Does one even exist? I realize that I am pushing my luck a bit with a 9 year difference between vehicles, but the turbo was strong on the talon, but the trans went bad. I also know that the engine configuration is different. The talon has the engine front pulley to the drivers side, and the avenger has the front pulley on the drivers side, so I know that the manifold configuration will not work. Does the hahn kit come with the oil lines and the intercooler hookups? What eles do I need to know about prepping the stock 2.0 for the added boost? I am looking for minimal boost, but just enough to add torque on the 2500 to 4000 rpm range. I also live at 6,500 feet elevation- what concerns may arise from that problem. Thanks again- I am very new at this game.

thanks drdisque,
I looked it up, but all I can find is the entire kit with the turbo. I will try to call and line up individual parts ( I am assuming that the turbo is the most expensive component). I find it hard to believe that most of those components can't be used off the TSI. I am trying to keep costs down, but not damage the avenger. thanks again for aiming me there.

the 4G63 your 1G and the 420A in the eclipse truly have nothing in common other than their general layout and displacement.
