Starting
I have a 93 ford explorer. I just got it from my sister and the starter was replaced a few months ago. It was starting great then all of a sudden did not work one day. so i wiggled the battery terminals and it started. worked fine for two days. wouldn;t start again so i tried wiggling the cables and it did not work. I was stranded in a parking lot so i had to jump the silinoid mounted on the fender with a screw driver. so i figured i had a bad silinoid. i replaced it fired up nice and quick. but the egine was running louder then normal. then it quited down to normal i heard a pop sound not loud like abackfire just a meak pop. and then it went back to loud again so i shut it off. popped the hood and one of the studs on the silinoid had broke. so i removed it and put the old silinoid back in for now so i could get it out of the garage.and nothing happens just a click like usual. so i tried jumping the silinoid again and all i got was clicks. im lost on this.
