Unhappy no more s10 :(

So the other night I was driving out in the country and was doing 70km/h in an 80km/h zone. I was entering a turn when a deer ran out onto the road, so I hit the breaks not even very hard, the back end of my truck slide out side ways then I went into the ditch, flipped 3 times. My truck is now gone wrote it off... I walk away with not injuries. So lucky but at the same time so unlucky. Less the 56 000 miles on my truck to.

Re: no more s10 :(

Too bad, it looks like it was a nice truck. I'm glad that you didn't get hurt. I hope that it wasn't too far from a phone either (where I live you could get stranded a days hike to a phone, where you might not see a car for over a day)

I'm just guessing that you only had all-season tires on. Snows would have probably saved it, but studs are the cat's meow in those more slipery situations.

Would you like your fellow canucks in your province to look for a nice replacement S-10?

Re: no more s10 :(

well i actually had a cop car behind me lucky for me because there was no one else around thats for sure.. and the bad thing was is that i did have brand new winter tires with studs... so i dont know what the hell went wrong.. another s10 would be nice but i mean finding one at a good price and as good as condition as mine was seems pretty hard.

Re: no more s10 :(

Good thing for the cop, he'll be a good witness for the insurance company, and should make any claim easier.

I'm going to Kelowna BC tomorrow, for Christmas, and Castlegar BC in the next week. I'll probably be going past some car lot's and if I see any nice S-10's I'll take a look (although I haven't the faintest idea whick province you live in)

Most cars are pretty nice in Kelowna, and it's probably the best place in BC to look for any car. Probably the best place in Canada for clean used cars.

Good luck with whatever you find

I work in a body shop and so many people make the same mistake as you did,hit the damn deer.I've seen many cars take more damage by trying to miss the deer than if they would have plowed it.Plus deer hair makes it more easier for a insurance claim.Good thing you made it alright though, sounded like a hell of a ride.
