Thumbs down I wonder what else can go wrong

ok, everything is put bat together, the wire is re-attatched and i got the battery charged and I put it in, and the second i plug it all up, there is a buzz in the engine and then

WAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAH EEERRRAAAAAA ERRRRAAAAA!!

The alarm goes off... My key button won't turn it off.

I tried to start it with the clutch in and the engine clicked rapidly but would not turn over....

So I am not sure of what to do now... again... lost...

Anyone know how to disconnect the alarm? I just want to get it started tonight to make sure I put it back together right.

Re: I wonder what else can go wrong

You could just pull the fuse that has the alarm.

Battery in your key fob dead? Are you sure the car battery took the charge properly. Try load testing it (most auto parts places will test it for free). GL

Re: I wonder what else can go wrong

Yes, because we tried my friends battery too, and it did the same thing. The button my key chain still has a bright red light when the button is pressed... I don't know if any stores are open tomorrow so I might have to wait until sunday to get a new key battery

there should be a valet button somewhere under your dash it will either be a switch or a small black button.once you find it try either one of these methods.1st on once you find the buttonor switch turn the key on(the alarm will go off)then off and push the button in for about 1 second or flip the switch the alarm should now stop going off.the alarm is in valet mode.if that doesn't work try turning the key on push and hold the button or flip the switch then turn the key off. by not knowing what system you have its hard to say which way is going to work.this is how we put alarms into valet mode at the shop i work at. i hope this helps you.

Re: I wonder what else can go wrong

The alarm goes off if there is a key in it or not.

I found a little red button, and I also found a black I/O switch. The Switch didn't do anything, and the little red button doesn't seem to do anything either.

I tried to start it right after the battery was hooked up before the alram goes off and it just sounded like shit was grinding. Lots of rapid clicks and then it osunded like it was trying to turn over but it just couldn't. It wasn't a normal dead battery sound or anything... it was just a "grind" type sound.

Re: I wonder what else can go wrong

I know on my valet button (Black on mine), I have to hold it for about 5 seconds while the key is only turned to the 1st position.
