Cassies takes the Type R

As few of you may know, a buddy of mine drives a 98 Lexus ES 300 that we put, as a total joke, 'Type R' and 'Nos' stickers on. Some people give us shit for it, but we like it becuase, well, its funny. Some ricers have acutally asked us if it is a real Type R, and that they didn't know that Lexus made a Type R ES 300. Everytime someone asks us if its real, we say it is, and it was imported from Japan, and that it has a special High flow air intake and free flow exhaust manifold with a cold air header direct nitrous system, just to see what they say. You'd be suprised how many people are like 'woah, that is awesome!'

Anyways, hes always wanted to run against me in a full all out race (sometimes, I'll just fly past him and he'll play try to keep up), and tonight we decided that, with the roads being all but empty, we'd give it a run. So we take it out to an empty strip, and catch a light. The next light is a little over a mile away, so we decided to go to that light.

We pull outa the Starbucks were at, and catch the light, and wait for it to go green. Another call pulled up, an Accord, but the driver looked older and didn't look like one to play. Well, the light goes green, and we both punch it. He holds me up to low second, but by 40 I'm pulling on him. I stay on it, and the pull stays steady out to 80 when I hit fourth. By now, I'm three lengths up, and I decided to stay on it, and bring it up to 100. I kill it when I'm maybe four and half lengths up. He comes up for the fly by, and I drop down into third (barely, I need the damn Dinan chip that disengages the computer on the damned shifter), and take off again, leaving him back.

We pull up to the light, and roll down the windows. We were both grining, he's never taken the Lexus up that fast (the second 'run' I had it at 115...in a 40), and then asks if I wanna go froom a roll. I agree, and when the light goes green, we take it up to 40. I honk us down, and we both jump on it again. This time, I walked away at 45, bringing it to a four car length lead at 80. We shut down, and this time he doesn't come for the fly by. We pull back into the Starbucks, and a kid in a del Sol comments us on our cars, and wow...asks if the Lexus is really a Type R, and if its a special one that you can only get in Japan. My friend and I laugh, and feed him the story. Man we're assholes. Well, thats all for now, and please enjoy whatever ethnoreligious december celebration you choose to act out.

The es300's are not too awful quick. I raced one granted he was on some bling wheels, and I took him. You would be surprised how many people you can get to belive total BS. There are so many uneducated "racers" that just want to fit in, so they agree with anything.

Re: Cassies takes the Type R

Yeah, I know...In my buddies defence (before people get on him for putting Type R stickers on a Lexus), hes saving up to by a real Type R Teg. He has it picked out, and its gonna cost him about 5k, and he currently has 4k saved up.

Texas. The most expensive one we found was 15k, cheapest was 4k. The one hes looking at is a 2000 with 30k miles and a Carbon fiber hood, other wise stock.

Re: Cassies takes the Type R

Nah, its legit, we checked it out and it passed. Its got all four wheels, motor, and checks out as a Type R, not just a badged GS-R...the guy needs to get rid of it, wife is making him so that they can get a 'family' car

Not in the mood to get my ass kicked yet, lol. There are two in my area that I know of (other than the ones for sale) that I've tried to race, and they dont even give me the time of day. The ITRs are what? Mid to low 14s? I'm a mid 15, so bleh. Yeah, see, the Lexus ES 300 Type R has a special form of VTech that activates earlier and can be turned on even when your not moving, and the cold air header direct nitrous system cant be bought in the US, it has to be specially imported direct from Tokyo...

Re: Cassies takes the Type R

^^^HAHA..CLASSIC... but ya..did you check the engine and everything. i mean i know that you said you checked the wheels and whatnot.

did you see it in person or just pics.. i mean.. does it really have 5 lugs on the axles instead of 4.

does it redline at 8400rpm instead of 6800 or what?

i mean..5k is way cheap no matter how badly you wanna get rid of a Type R
