My silvia wont start after tranny swap
i bought an s13 with an auto in it. i pulled out the engine, tranny, ecu and loom and replaced it all with a new engine and manual box. i used the loom and ecu that came with the new engine. when i turn the key the warning lights come on but will not turn over. i left the ignition on and shorted out the starter motor but it wouldnt fire. anyone got any ideas or know where the auto computer is located in the car?

never had this problem yet because i'm not doing the swap yet but i can try to help, try seeing if the igniter is an working conditions, or how about the fuel pump, sometimes you have to change out all this stuff. i'm sure someone more helpful will come along and help you better.

try pushing in the clutch pedal...
it sounds like you are'nt doing that if your trying to give power to the starter...I could just be a complete numbnutz and your using two people to try out that method lol |

Re: My silvia wont start after tranny swap
You have to short out the auto computer so it thinks its in park. Search around, there's just two wires you solder together, but I can't remember which ones specifically. Get that out of the way and you should have it going
![]() Pardon the crappy explanation but I'm still recovering from a christmas feed...
