Renault Sport Spider

This has to be one of the most beautiful cars to ever come out of France:

Intended as a light, minimalist sports/race car, it originally had no windscreen, no roof, no heater, which helped it weigh in at well under a ton.

150bhp is not a lot of power but the mid-engined car drove spiritedly, reaching 60 in 7s and on to 134mph.

Dynamically it was great fun to drive, though it did fall short of the Elise, but it's so beautiful and graceful i really don't care.

cheers,
jay
