86 Town Car Stuck/Frozen gas pedal
My gas pedal cannot be depressed on very cold starts. After running for a while or driving it becomes unstuck but I have to force the pedal down . It then appears to work fine until the car has been left in the cold overnight etc.
My mechanic replaced the kick down cable and no luck. Then replaced the accelerator cable. Still no luck. I think something is freezing but I am not an expert. The colder it gets the longer it takes for it to get "unstuck". Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: 86 Town Car Stuck/Frozen gas pedal
In my Towncar the throtle cable has to make an "s" to get to the intake. When it's cold my gas pedal gets stuck and needs to be stomped to free it. Check your cable for kinks or places where it is curved at a sharp angle.
