Ultamate Blow off

Any one who plays underground two has probly heard the blow off valve sound that a few cars have as the cameras go over the first few cars in the URL races. It sounds like you make a high pitch noise with your mouth then make your tounge hit up and down quickly. Its hard to explain. But i was wondering if anyone knows what blow off valve this is. I know its not fake because i have heard it before on a racing video. Any one know? Thanks

um...HKS SSQ is a very popular BOV...

the Apexi Twin chamber is also a very popular BOV...

Tial BOV's have a very unique sound...

but i cant help you with that description, but BOV's sound different when releasing different levels of pressure (or boost)...so odds are, your not gonna be able to match the exact sound that is on the video game because it could have been mocked after a car with 40psi single turbo and you have a 15 psi TT...so yeah...good luck with that!!!

if you want to hear a tial, the only car i can think of off the top of my head, that has the tial BOV is a 300zx single-turbo conversion. go to http://www.z32power.com and download one of the many videos. thats a tial BOV....

FYI: that is joel grannas's single turbo 300zx convertible pushing well over 600rwhp...to my knowledge.

Re: Ultamate Blow off

if you asked me i love the way the turbo XS RFL sounds is the loudest blow off valve and if you set it right you wont have turbo lag and you can have it as a open atmosphere blow off valve

what??? a BOV alone doesnt cause you to NOT have turbo lag. it may help the case but not solve it. and by open atmosphere you mean it releases boost pressure into the atmosphere, then yes it does that but so do most aftermarket BOV's...and yes the turbo x's RFL BOV is "Really F***ing Loud"!!!

Re: Ultamate Blow off

yes it releases boost pressure into the atmosphere i didnt recirculated and in this forums a dude told me that you have to recirculate the blow off valves for 3000gt or stealth

you dont have to...that is what should come stock. recirculation is the best kind of valve so your not wasting good air, but it isnt necessary. plus recirculation valve's dont have that "cool" sound...

anyways recirculation valves basically do as the name implies. they take that air that needs to be "blown off" and puts it back into your usable air stream. through more hoses...
most, if not all stock systems have a recirculation valve set-up that recirculates the air in the boost hoses back into your stock air box after you release the gas pedal...the air in your boost hoses have to go somwhere or else they will just sit in your boost hoses and bog down your turbo's spooling rate.

Re: Ultamate Blow off

you could always look it up on sites and see the price. I think they run like $130 - $270 or so depending on the BOV

actually they all have pretty distinct sounds...but i would say the turbo x's RFL BOV is probably one of the louder ones i have ever heard...
