My buddy owns a slavage recovery car lot so i know a little.

From what i understand, you car at one point had something wrong with it. It could have been in a flood, a wreck, electrical fire, smoke damage or a stolen recovery. Im pretty sure its possible to get a clean title but in ny i know you have to drive to the state capital with the head DMV office is. The title will be clean but it will still come up with a salvage history. I don't think it's legal to drive a car with a salavge title in new york.

Hey everybody, my friend just kicked me down a 1984 Buick station wagon. The engine sounds real strong and was wondering what kind of engine it has.He says its a V8 but how do I know if its a 305 or 350?The vin # is 1g4av35y1ex437148 for anyone that can help me.

Also could I swap that engine into a 84 trans am I could get that has no engine?

The eight digit is the engine code. "Y" stands for 5.0 (307) oldsmobile motor.
