Re: camaro v.s. snow

i dont know why you have so much trouble driving in the snow.. throw a couple sand bags in the hatch and you should be good to go.. my car has survived 2 Michigan winters.. and starting #3 unfortunately..

Re: camaro v.s. snow

tires play a big factor in winter driving for camaros.... my car gets stuck in 1 inch of snow in the driveway but it has summer performance tires on it... get a good set of all around tires and add some weight like kaotic said and you should be good to go.... also remember the added power factor you need to compensate for when not getting traction....

Re: camaro v.s. snow

My car doesn't move one inch on ice or 1/8th a inch of snow. Z rated tires are damn horrible for winter. It's bad when you need a 80 mph running start for like a 24 degree incline @ 500 feet. It sucks..almost wish I had some better tires for it but for now and the last two months , she's been sitting . Not for winter i've decided.

Just let her creep , Put it in gear let it roll on from idle. If you are at a stop light , roll on until about 7 - 10 mph and then ease into the gas very lightly.

You shouldn't be driving Camaros in the winter. The ground clearance sucks. All the salt that collects underneath the car is going to destroy it. You should have a back-up for the snow...if you can't afford it than I don't think you can afford a Camaro.

comments like that just piss me off...

* if you are any kindof driver, you should be able to tackle the snow in a RWD car.. if you wash the car there wont be a problem with salt although sand is what they use here.. and if someone doesnt feel the need to drive a "backup" in the winter its their business.. dont go insulting the great people who spend every last dime of theirs on the car and makin it better, thats where you get into problems. i know it wasnt aimed directly at me, but i fit into the following so you worry about your car.. and i'll drive mine.. by the way, thanks for PMing me a month and a half later..

You can't get underneath to wash unless you have a lift or you're three inches tall. Stick up for these dumbasses all you wan't, but you know I'm right. You don't drive a Camaro, or any sports car, in the winter unless you're going to keep it the rest of your life because nobody will touch it when the SEE it's been driven through winter.

Re: camaro v.s. snow

haha^ you think everyone with a sports car just puts it away every winter. Ill guarantee you my car wont be sitting in the garage during winter. Not everyone can afford to have a sports car and another car. Especially us poor 16 year olds

hahaha well first off have you ever heard of a car wash?? they wash the underside of your car very well..... if you have to drive a camaro in the winter you do, its very do-able..... and im sure you will find it very hard to find a car that hasnt been driven in the winter once or twice.... sure everyone says never seen snow but its very easy to say that .... try and prove them otherwise..."dumbass"

Now now , no pissing contest children. Let people express their own opinions with out calling them names. They will prove what they are in their statements.
