New Supra and Skyline coming out

As you all know, I am an insurance agent. I read today at work about Toyota coming out with a new "Supra" and a new Nissan Skyline GT-R coming out.

The New Skyline is a 450 HP vehicle (don't know much else about it) and it will come out in 2007.

The new "Supra" will either be a 5.0 V6 or a I-10. They don't know for sure, but it will be between 480-500 HP. Reported price on the vehicle is $110-125k.

I hope Mitsu comes out with a new supercar soon.

Sorry my bad the new Supra wil actually either be a 5.0 V8 or a I-10, not a 5.0 V6. I was rushed when I typed it.

if they're bringing all these back, is there a good chance the 3000GT will get a new chance? or is mitsubishi just going to stick with their lancer and eclipse? from the look of that nasty ass eclipse, i'm not sure if i want them to redo the 3000gt...might come out f-ugly.

from what i heard, what you guys take to be a supra is gonna actually be a super car to compete with the carrera gt and what not.

moter trend had a spy page of toyota's new supercar that looks kinda like a supra with a bodykit.

dont take those pictures you see floating around as gospel...that is only what people think they are going to look like or some of them have been photoshopped. we really wont know what either one looks like until they debut.

i doubt that mitsu or subaru will get into the super car thing again. plus they both already have their "supercar". probably the closest thing your gonna get is the EVO coming in an even more stout form than the MR....i think there is something like an FQ400 EVO or something being offered or in the process of being offered over seas. eventually, mitsu might bring that little demon over hear. i doubt they will bring back the 3000gt/GTO, since they have the EVO but ya never know.

and as for subaru, they have the STI so i doubt they will bring back their SVX which was never that special anyways...

but maybe we will all get a surprise and mitsubishi and subaru will come out with something after the skyline and supra make their debuts...

it would be nice to see them all come back again with jap super car battle. i dont think nissan plans on the GTR being quite as expensive as the supra is expected to be. i see the GTR being anywhere from $50k-$80k....VQ32DETT. yummy!!!

All we know for certain is that there will be a new supra. That car we've seen pictures of may be an entirely different car. propabbly a lexus.
I'm pretty sure that is the actual skyline concept and the variations from it will propabbly be minimal.

Also Mazda has announced a new RX7 supposed to have around 300HP I beleive.

Arg I wish mitsu could take a hint and just come back with the 3000GT, it was hands down the best car in its price range. And yea, that eclipse does look pretty bad, but on the other hand I actually like the camaro's styling.

Has has been discussed in length, If mitsu brought back the 3000gt they'd F' up the styling and butcher the car name. now... If they hired me as a stylist... I got make it look nice.

that's the skyline concept, not the 2007 model.
the 2007 current "looking" is like a G35 from Infinity.
but in 2 years, they can change alot on it...
hypothesis runing, they used a G35 to test the new skyline engine, because G35 and older skylines have the same chasis, so they run the new engine in a G35...but i'm not sure if it's true

i have confirmation that Toyota is working on a new supercar, possibly the new supra. in the January 2005 issue of Automobile magazine (automobilemag.com) on page 24 there's a photo of "Toyota's future front-engined supercar...testing at the Nurburgring."

The car looks pretty sweet, much better styling than the last generation of the supras. I'll try and get a photo of it up on here in a little bit.
