Question Inexpensive drift car?

I'm looking for a new project now that my 87 Mustang GT has sold. Here's what I'm looking for:
4 or 6 cylinder
manual trans (obviously)
rear drive
preferably less than 2700 pounds.
Plus I need to be able to pick up the base car for less than $3,000 (u.s.)

Anybody have any ideas.
I really want to try an import, since I've never owned one. I found an 82 Datsun 210 for cheap, but it needs a 5 speed swap. Good idea? Any other ideas??
