Question Stock Speaker Size?

So what is the speaker size that comes with the Pontiac Grand Am? My rear speakers are going out and I need to know what type of power I am dealing with so I don't replace them with 3-ways that will drain my battery. I am not ready to put in a whole new soundsystem with amp and powerpack.

Re: Stock Speaker Size?

Installing different speakers such as three ways, will not drain your battery.

Speakers only use the SIGNAL that is sent to them from the head unit - this signal does not increase with the new speakers.

The amp is an altogether different story - it will drain your battery when the engine is not running.

i believe that your front speakers are 4x6 and your rears are 6x9. even though the fronts have a 6 1/2 face plate, they are definately 4x6
