Esprit for $10,000?
My dad and bro jut got back from the store and they says they saw a lotus Esprit ('85) silver for sale in some guys yard for $10,000!! WTF? I mean they cost like $80,000 new right? The guy wasn't home, but they looked at it and siad it was in seemingly good condition. What's up with this and should I get it? ( I could dump the '98 integra LS for about $10,000.)

are you sure there was an engine? or the electrics were working..
many times an owner that knows nothing about the way they are built or the way they are driven will screw something like that up and have no way of fixing it... and then they take it to be fixed and are told it will cost mucho dollars. And then they sell it because they dont think they can fix it themselves... it could be a good deal or a bad one

its probably not in good condition if the guy is selling it for under 25K but thats just my opinon. if it is in good shape u could buy it and drive it on weekends eh guy

I paid 7k for my 88 Turbo Esprit a couple of months ago. Bought it from a guy who was having IRS troubles. It was in pretty good shape mechanically (29k miles), but ratty shape cosmetically. Ive been into cars for a while now, and can do most all mechanical and cosmetic work on them. Im in the process of restoring the interior...just about finished. As soon as I figure out how to post pics on this forum, I'll put some pics up.
