Power steering

'99 Cherokee Sport. Occassionally, the power steering drops as I slow and turn into a parking spot. Could this be as simple as needing a power steering fluid change? It isn't worth changing the power steering pump.

what do you mean by it drops?

Do you mean you lose power and it feels more like manual steering? Check the belt tension and fluid level. Make sure the fluid looks fairly clean too.
