93 cav heater blower
My son's 1993 cavalier RS has an intermittent problem with the heater blower. sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't.

Pull off the two wires on the motor and clean both halves of each connector. They get a lot of dirt on them. This is a fairly common issue.

Also could be the fan switch is bad. Just replaced the one in my 90 Cavy. I just put in a 3 way toggle switch.

Clean the power contacts. Make sure fuse is intact. Check speed control switch and slider. If all is well, try giving the blower motor housing a few taps with a small hammer. (careful to not dent.) The blower motor might run. If so, then you're looking at replacing the unit. If not remove the assembly and power it from a car battery. Be careful; as its quite torquee. Real easy job to replace.

replace blower motor internal ground concern of blower motor .. or possibly the blower resistor.it has been know that they will corrode and turn green with corrosion..
