How much can a 2nd gen handle ? ?

Hey whats up im new to the thread, but any ways i was wondering how much boost can a 2nd gen RX7 T2 handle ? ? ? I was thinking of getting one sometime soon hopefully. But if drop in different bigger turbos how much can it handle and also to be running safely?

this is very relative to the tuning and money you'll invest.
450whp is doable, but for more reliability and more power you'll have to get your engine pinned.

yea im not looking to really go over 450 jus around 300 to 350 range. But how exactly do u build up a rotory engine ? ?

1st you need some kind of engine management, the original ecu is very restrictive
roughly, then you have two way to achieve better power : higher the boost or port the engine,
at the extreme you'll have to do both, porting will cost you more than boost, and at some point its not reliable anymore in the long run. so 300-350hp is a streetport at 15-20 lbs with a T3/T4, fuel mods and many other stuff. you might need a bigger turbo. you can also do it without porting.

go see on the rx7club.com, theres alot of posts about setups of this kind..

Alright cool thanx a lot peoples. THe only thing im worried about also is finding a good machanic to work on the engine in case it breaks down or whatever.
