3000GT/Skyline battle?

okay, i'm new to this forum, but i've gotta question. me and some of my buddies were debating a subject and i decided to get an outside opinion. the 3000GT and the nissan skyline which would win if they were pitted against each other.

Re: 3000GT/Skyline battle?

depends on what skyline. the R32 will loose, the R33 will be a good race, the R34 will win

and i'm black, for whatever reason that matters.

Re: 3000GT/Skyline battle?

samething youngvr4 said. I seen video clips of a r32 that got beatin pretty bad and the r33 the vr4 won also but very close race. The R34 beat the crap out of the vr4. But remember the vr4 over in asia and europe is called a GTO and if it is the MR GTO thats faster than the vr4. I never seen a race between a vr4 and a skyline, it was always between GTO and Skyline. So i dont think anybody has the right answer here in the USA.

why do you say that???

according to motorex, 0-100mph the r32 GTR is the fastest followed by the R33, and then that is followed by the R34.

(0-100mph = not sure about this, but that should also be about the 1/4 mile trap speed, probably a little higher)
R32 GTR - 12.7
R33 GTR - 12.9
R34 GTR - 13.0

and 0-60 times, according to motorex, the R32 also takes the R33 and R34....
R32 - 4.7 sec
R33 - 5.3 sec
R34 - 5.2 sec

i would say that the GTR will beat the 3000gt VR4 in ever category except subjective categories. maybe not kill it, but beat it....

I'm American... and The skyline will still beat the Vr-4 The only exception being the MR... but I think there's still a version of the R34 that will beat it, Not sure there are lots of different skylines you know.... Even Skyline station wagons... hahahahahah

Those are not quarter times. The quarter times of the Skyline and the GTO are about dead on. The 0-60 is better in the GTO then the Skyline. Young may have the pecking order off in the Skyline lineup, but the GTR does not beat the VR4 in every category (subjective or not).

I'm Canadian. I think it would depend on what version of the Skyline also, but I'm pretty sure a Skyline would take out a VR4. And who couldn't love the Skyline? But, the VR4 is certainly a much easier car to afford. Even I can afford one. Man I'm poor.

I for one do not like the Skyline. I've always thought it looked little better then a shoebox.

I think the Skyline GT-R will pass the 3000GT stock vs stock .

I know guys raced a lot of skylines and won with their stock or lightly

modified 3000GT's but that doesn't mean the 3000GT is faster ..

It's depend at the driver , If he shifts well or bad !

The 3000GT is stronger and faster if you reduce it's weight ..

The torque of this car is absent because the weight ..

The torque of the engine is 43kgm while the RB26DETT torque is 39kgm !
